User Mode 090
USB output is controlled through Arkeya
- USB output
- Button boxes with up to 8 buttons
In this mode the fORP is enumerated automatically as a USB HID (Human Interface Device) keyboard by the computers operating system. HID keyboards behave in well-defined ways and are widely recognized by all modern operating systems. Button presses and triggers will generate keycodes based on settings assigned using Arkeya.
Details
This is the most flexible button box mode available for the 932. Button presses and triggers can be configured to output any alpha-numeric character, and there are a small number of special characters which can be configured as well: left, right, up, down, space, and return. The 932 can be placed into either regular or non-auto-release mode.
The configuration is done using
Arkeya
With:
- 932 interface powered up
- USB cable connected from 932 to computer
- Response Device connected to 932
Click 'Change Use Mode' button and select mode 090 from the drop-down list
Select the response device tab (to the right of the 932 tab)
Click "Change Button Output" button
Now you can assign USB outputs for each button. For instance, if you wanted an 'x' to be sent when the 2nd button is pressed, type an x into the button 2 slot. Click 'apply' when you're done.
After this, when Mode 090 is selected the outputs will be what you set them to (and you won't need to use Arkeya again until you want to change them). You can select mode 090 using MODE SELECT option (the 3rd choice in the root menu on the 932) or, after using AUTOCONFIGURE or MANUAL, you can choose HID KEY PROG OUT form the list.
